Biography of Will Willemsen

Born in Amsterdam.
Training pedagogical Academy in Amsterdam. Europäische Academy in Trier.
Workplace: Van Gogh museum.

From an early age was drawing the great passion of Will Willemsen. Her source of inspiration are people, she finds her subjects in the everyday life. Already on the Pedagogical Academy she learned focus observe and deduce. They jotted down the methods that people use to communicate, to distinguish themselves in the Group and make contact. She discovered the language of the body. During her many sessions on workshops and drawing tours in the city she learned this communication turn into colorful rhythmic translations. With powerful strokes does it give the people-to-people relationships in bright colors of the figures on the canvas. People groups bijeengebonden in rugged paint rhythms. Its work let the spectator enough space for their own interpretation. They developed from the academic drawing and painting at the Academy and the abstract work on the workshop of the Van Gogh a private hand. Colors are an important source of inspiration while painting.
