Titus Henricus Maria Nolte (born 1955) is a Dutch artist.
Titus Nolte attended high school in Doetinchem. For some time he then studied Classics at Utrecht University, before moving to the Academy of arts.
He produces paintings, drawings, graphics and ceramics.
At the Utrecht School of Fine Art, he teaches drawing, painting and graphics. He exhibits since the mid-seventies of the twentieth century regularly in several Dutch and foreign museums. His works are part of the permanent collection of the Utrecht Museum. Titus Nolte has during his life many artists, often in series, portraits made by writers, poets and artists. He performed without exception-sometimes for years-research, he popped up in archives in order to depict the essence of his admiration. The portraits can also be seen as a kind of tributes to the great ideas of the creative minds. Nolte uses different techniques to create its fascinating images. Besides painting he uses photographic techniques and screen printing techniques.
Nolte is best known for his contributions to major international events such as Century 87/Amsterdam, Centraal Museum Utrecht, Lux Europae Nightlines 1991/1992/Edinburgh and by many museum exhibitions at home and abroad.
