Biography of Roelof Hofman

At a young age hit Roelof Hofman fascinated by drawing and painting. His eighth year he is working seriously to his technique and style. Eight years later he apprenticed to the Rotterdam painter Cornelis Waller. He started drawing, but is quickly switched to painting. He painted in his early years especially in the classical style, in his later life is Roelof Hofman more to surrealism and magic realism. Roelof Hofman continues to experiment with new techniques. In his view, is the use of color in a painting one of the most important elements. That is the first in which people instinctively react and color comes clear in his paintings. Hofman is regularly in France. He pays back to the countryside to enjoy the peace and thereby get new ideas. His work has earned him many awards in addition to numerous exhibits as well.
