Marco Kooiman was born in Zimbabwe but now living in Vlissingen. Are big favorites are Giovanni Fattori and Roy Lichtenstein. He studied in Canada and Italy. From that last country he also gets his inspiration for his work, especially from the region of Abruzzo. He uses traditional subjects, but gives them unusual colors, such as blue sheep and pink cows.
