Kars Persoon is a painter of ideas: for him, the art in the service of meaning. His work can be seen as an ongoing search for the relationship of man with himself and his environment. In the early 1980s, he belongs to the list of permanent exhibitors of the well-known Amsterdam galerie The Living Room. With his province enjoyed annex co-exhibitors Peter kantelberg and René Daniëls is he in this period included the ' Brabantse School ', a group that is distinguished by an expressive, mostly figurative imagery with highly surreal elements. Persoon attracts attention with emotional paintings full of movement and noise, such as the pictured here the brave. His scenes eyes apparent, without a clear message. Piece by piece they do a strong appeal to the imagination of the spectator. The nineties bring a stillness in his work. Against the milleniumwisseling characteristics are paintings themselves by static figures and an almost perfunctory management, but the theme remains unchanged.
