Biography Henk Schiffmacher

Schiffmacher comes from a Catholic family butchers in Harderwijk. From an early age he had a penchant for drawing and collect. For school, he had little interest. He wanted to be a painter. His first sketches and drawings found their way to the houses and bedrooms of uncles and aunts and S.r. won annual poster contests. His artistic ambition led to a short period in the early 1970s to the advertising School REX to the frederiksplein in Amsterdam. Schiffmacher is very active in the field of tattoos and collected during tours at all kinds of stuff with the history of the tattoo. He has among other things the following people tattooed: the members of the Red Hot Chile Peppers-the members of Pearl Jam-Kurt Cobain-Lemmy Kilmister-Barry Hay-Willy DeVille-Herman Brood and Xandra Jack-Anouk-Robbie Williams-Frans van Zoest-Adam Levine-Ben Saunders-Lady Gaga-Ramones-Stray Cats-Marc Almond. Henk Schiffmacher is also known as a writer and painter. Schiffmacher also works extensively for charity. Since June 2010, he and his wife Louise, Ambassador of Foundation B! NK, a foundation dedicated to disadvantaged children in the non-Western world.
