Biography of Hendrik Nico Werkman
Hendrik Nicolaas Werkman was initially employed by Bookstore-printing Bala in sappemeer (1900-1903). There followed a brief period in journalism (1903-1907), after which he began a career as a printer at (Walker), but in 1908 he established a private printing company in Groningen (Pepper Street 5). Wagner continued to live in Groningen. He was born (april 29, 1882) in Leens, lived during his youth briefly in Assen, but the HBS-training and its subsequent working life were spent in the city of Groningen. During the second world war came into contact with August Werkman, Adri Buning and Ate Zuithoff and under the name De Blauwe Schuit it produced four forty expenditure, of which Wagner the printing and the illustrations.
