Biography of Gert Strengholt

Gert Strengholt follow his education at the Academy of fine arts (Department of monumental and lithography). He is known for his lithographs with figurative approach. The story in the images is magical, and is characterized by a combination of architectural characters, and other symbols, such as those of dog, rabbit, bird, fish, water, air, etc. The compositions are clear and colorful. In the graphic work of Gert Strengholt is the Earth a mythical component, as well as the water, which is regarded as source of all life forms. Gert Strengholt makes mysterious lithographs with a combination of accurately depicted and not recognizable abstract forms. It locates in his prints a balance between color and composition.
