Dutch artist, who works in an expressionistic, figurative, sometimes abstract style. Playing animal figures in his work tends to have a leading role, in which the various characters have their own meaning. In his paintings and graphic art he trusts with smooth strokes a naive fairy world to the canvas or paper. Peace composes in his work figurative, but flat performances, in which animals human traits and refer to exotic stories. In his sketchy detailed artworks figure dancing or playing animal figures at an often-coloured background. His work consists of colorful drawings, all kinds of chart, such as etching and silk-screen prints, watercolors and paintings, collages, painted ceramic blare and bronze statues.
