Anneke Peereboom says about her work the next. "I usually work as a result of small sketches, for example a tree, a mountain, a flower, snow, Sun, a model, a thought. Those sketches I take to my Studio, because there it must happen. I climb into it and hollow it out, transform it to my own story. All painting is the one color next to the other, or put down over the other. Glazing or opaque. The rhythm in which that happens is a factor for the composition. Here and there by the openwork structure is my painted world accessible. Thus my lyrical-abstract paintings, inspired by nature. Sometimes the sketch, light, refined work of art in itself and remains the figurative existence. "
