Biography of Ad Arma

Ad Arma (pseudonym of Ad Robert Meerman, Rotterdam, 1954) is a Dutch sculptor, printmaker, painter and glass artist. His etchings reflect a particular craftsmanship. On the polished Zinc plate he brings the etching ground, an acid-resistant layer. In this he makes his design by parts of the etching ground to remove. When the plate in an acid bath, then on those places the acid a reaction with the zinc. After cleaning the plate is the drawing as deeper lines and surfaces visible.
