Rudolf Herman christianus (Ruud) Dijk (Rotterdam, 6 July 1950) is a Dutch sculptor.
Since 1981 he is Professor at the Art Academy of Den Bosch. He was a member of the Advisory Board art in public space of Nijmegen (1984-1988) and of Hellevoetsluis (1997-1998). In 1992 and 1994 he was a visiting professor at the Academia de Bellas Artes in Granada and to the Academia de Bellas Artes in Valencia, Spain.
Ruud Dijkers calls himself intuitive artist, "I am fascinated by the brain. They determine how you as a human being functions. My images come bubbling up from the subconscious. Where does that come from? And what is your own decision and what is not? " [2] his images are an intermediary between thought and matter. Dijkers lives in Blue Lock on the edge of Maasbommel.
