Ruud Cornelisse (1940) is a post-cobra painter and draughtsman. Educated at the Rietveld Academy and the Institute for arts and crafts education in Amsterdam with a lecturer Willem (Wim) Saleh. His style characteristics are typical Post-Cobra with its surreal and expressive. In addition to the many paintings and oil painting and acrylic Rudi has many graphical techniques worked like etching technique, wood engraving, copper engraving and linoleum pressure. The subjects are often the expressions of the dialogue. Ruud stayed for years on the ruin of Brederode in Santpoort where he has organized many cultural events. Also there stondt the encounter, the dialogue in the first place. He has also for years as set designer for Hause Orkater. Ruud was a member of X 65 to Haarlem, art they our goal and is mentioned in many publications. The powerful work of Ruud Captain remains on the retina and pushes you on top of the painting, looking for that which you bind and is a place of recognition that deeper than it first appears.
