Richard Cornelis Brouwer, born in 1964 to Hennaard, photographer, painter and draughtsman. In 1988 he graduated with honors from the Royal Academy of art in the Hague. During his studies he specialized in painting, drawing and graphic art.
The pictures of Banda belong mainly to landscape and urban photography. He has made several series including ' space and time ', ' teeth or paste ' and the American city of Phoenix.
The painting of Brouwer is non-figurative; his creations of oil paint on linen are conceptual and abstract. With coarse brush strokes he makes with bright colours conceptual and abstract figures.
During his career, Banerjee had many solo and group exhibitions. His work is exhibited in the Dordrecht Museum and the municipal museum and the Quaternary in the Hague. Banda creations can be found in the collections of companies, individuals and the gemeentemuseum Den Haag. His art works are also regularly screened in American literary magazines, such as the ' Great Goat ' and ' The Believer '. Brouwer received in 1993 the Royal awards for painting.
In addition to painter and photographer is Brouwer also lecturer at the SKVR in Rotterdam, where he teaches in drawing, painting and Photoshop. He is also a lecturer in digital photography, focusing on travel, working at the Koorenhuis in the Hague and at the CKC in Zoetermeer.
