Elsene, 1926 – Antwerp, 2014 Guy vandenbranden is an important post-war Belgian artist. He is a second-generation Belgian constructivists, within the line of Piet Mondrian and Victor Vasarély as to full geometric abstraction.
For the Belgian constructivist Guy vandenbranden on 3 June 2014 on 87 died in Antwerp, he let his archive to the C-Vu Gallery. This archive contains correspondence, invitations and catalogues of exhibitions, a rich collection of photos by Frank Philippi, Georges Thiry and Raoul Van den Boom. Many of these early documents are very rare and offer a special look behind the scenes of the Belgian postwar avant-garde. The archive, together with a thorough study of secondary literature and some exceptional art collections, the base of the monograph Guy vandenbranden, published by C Vu.
